Our mild winter weather enables one to enjoy being outside most of the year. Whether you enjoy boating, fishing, golfing, hiking, camping, or other outdoor sports, the Gulf Coast has much to offer.

The Mississippi Gulf Coast offers every type of fishing you could dream of… freshwater, brackish water, and saltwater to challenge the casting angler, fly fisher, or the troller. With over 200 species of fish in our waters, you get to choose from inshore fishing, pier fishing, wade fishing and deep sea fishing. Jack Crevalle, drum, shark, and more call the waters of the Mississippi Sound home as well as the bass, perch, catfish, and others that live in the freshwater streams and rivers that feed Back Bay. You never know what you might get when your pole bends in the brackish water, may be a large redfish or speckled trout.

If golf is your game, look no further than the Mississippi Gulf Coast to fulfill all of your golfing dreams. Unlike other parts of the country, golf on the Gulf Coast is a year-round, short-sleeved game thanks to our temperate climate. The Gulf Coast offers you a choice of nearly 20 golf courses, many of them created by the top course designers in the world – Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Davis Love III, Mark McCumber, Jerry Pate and Tom Fazio.

Brand new for 2015 is minor league baseball. The Biloxi Shuckers are the double A farm club of the Milwaukee Brewers and will open play in brand new MGM Park this year. Family friendly fun is the name of the game, and the entire Coast is excited about our new team. Natural rivals exist, as the Mississippi Braves (Jackson) and Mobile BayBears are just two of the teams competing against our new team in the Southern League.

Brooks Hall picked up his third win as the Shuckers take down Pensacola in game one of today’s doubleheader 2-1! Biloxi…
